Canvas Sicily Apartment

Pro: L’appartamento è spazioso e luminoso e dotato di tutto il necessario. La doccia è ampia e il letto molto comodo. La casa è molto calda, pur non essendoci i riscaldamenti accesi, e si trova in una posizione centrale, seppur la via non sia il massimo. L’host è reattivo e disponibile.

Contro: L’ingresso nell’appartamento é un po’ macchinoso. Bisogna prima entrare dal portone principale, poi prendere un vecchio e lentissimo ascensore, fare un altro piano di scale ed infine aprire un cancelletto interno (oltre alla porta d’ingresso). Inoltre, le scale del palazzo sono piene di calcinaccio (o comunque polvere di intonaco/ gesso), il che è dovuto a dei lavori in corso o rimasti incompiuti (e non dipende ovviamente dall’host). Tuttavia, se seguite alla lettera le istruzioni di check in che riceverete, non avrete problemi ad accedere.

Pro: Appartamento ottimo e pulito,ottima posizione per girare in tutta la città e si arriva velocemente ovunque,il parcheggio c'è sotto casa oppure si può parcheggiare in uno privato a pochi passi dalla casa noi abbiamo girato tutta la costa siciliana da Isola Bella fino a Ortigia

Ci torneremo sicuramente, garantito!

Pro: Così come la perla la trovi dentro un'ostrica non proprio piacevole da vedersi, così quest'appartamento ti appare quando e come meno te lo aspetti: sicurezza ai massimi livelli, dotazioni più che complete, balcone con vista panoramica, comodità assoluta e - ciliegina sulla torta - wifi gratuito ad oltre 300 Mb. Aggiungerei l'estrema disponibilità del proprietario e, cosa che non guasta mai, l'ottimo rapporto prezzo/qualità. Assolutamente consigliabile!

Pro: Siamo stati molto bene, ambiente pulito e accogliente. Non mancava nulla, ferro da stiro, phon , tovaglioli, bicchieri, acqua fresca nel frigo. Posizione ottimale, per raggiungere tutto a piedi: Ciminiere, via Etnea ecc... Ottima la comunicazione con il titolare. Disponibile e gentile.

Contro: Quarto piano, l'ultimo piano è senza ascensore, fino al terzo c'è il montacarichi.

A clean and comfortable apartment, located close to the city center

Pro: This a really nice place to stay. First of all, the host is a very nice person. Giuseppe sent me all necessary information upon my arrival. He answers very fast and is very polite. You collect keys from a box, what was very convenient as we reached the apartment late. The apartment is simply great - located very close to the center of Catania, but in a fairly calm area. Within less than 10 minutes you can reach a Lidl, Via Etnea, a parking lot. The apartment was verty clean and comfortable. Beds were great, I have nothing to complain about. But you should remember that it is on the 4th floor. I don't consider this as a disadvantage, but for some less fit persons it can be a challenge. There is a lift, but only to the 3rd floor, and with limited capacity. Overall, I highly recommend this place, because of the host, location and high standard of the apartment.

Great little spot

Pro: Everything was as described. It is a very good sized apartment with a small kitchen with everything we personally needed for our stay. It was nice to have a separate bedroom to the main living area and bathroom, creating a home away from home feel. There is a view of mount Etna from the bathroom window (the window is very large and opens fully so you can get a great view). The apartment is stones throw from the large Catania market and well placed for travelling to tour meeting points, restaurants and bars. It felt like a safe enough area to walk around late at night as a couple. Plenty of instructions and info given on arrival with good communication from the owner. No issues with the cleanliness of the property, bed was suitable for us both

Contro: There is a lift to the 3rd floor (4th floor for Americans) which is very slow and if you're abled, you'll descend the stairs much quicker. The apartment is up a further two stories via stairs only. It's not a negative and wouldn't stop me booking again but I mention it as I hadn't appreciated this fully when I booked and think others may miss it too. The shower fixture was quite modern! Seemed to have a massage setting, even. But the plumbing in these older buildings isn't up to par so the shower base quickly filled with water and that meant standing in cold water for the first 30 seconds.

Really enjoyed the stay, the host is one of the most accommodating and responsive!

Pro: The location was really convenient - arriving from the airport by bus and walking the rest, as well as heading off toward the center, everything is close. Given that the area is close to the main station, it is (as common) not the prettiest, but people were kind and we felt safe overall. I liked the view from the bathroom and was really grateful for the ac in both the bedroom and the living room. Everything necessary was provided and instructions were clear. The communication with the host was impeccable!

Contro: There is nothing I particularly disliked. Just a heads-up: The elevator just goes to the second/third floor, while you'll still have to climb some stairs with your heavy suitcase. It also \

Pro: Clean, comfortable, near to anything you need or want to visit . Great market at the end of the street.

Contro: The neighborhood on some places doesn't look safe but we didn't have any problems.

A lovely apartment within easy reach of supermarkets and the town centre.

Pro: The air conditioning was excellent; it was very hot when we arrived and we really enjoyed the comfort of the air conditioning. The apartment was lovely and the view of Etna from the bathroom was great. We had a lovely holiday and would recommend the apartment to friends.

Contro: There was nothing we didn't like.
